You are the only player who starts with a gun. A hit on the Cow ends the round for the crew. A hit on a Researcher kills both of you. The gun then drops for anyone to pick up. Play that penalty even if an older note only said a bad shot "wastes trust."
Where to stand
Stand where the Cow must cross your view to reach the group.
- Coconut: the connector between lab wings, not the pier.
- Arcade: a corner with a short lane, not a chase into the bowling alley.
- Circus: watch ladder tops and tent doors. Do not climb up and lose the floor.
- Any map: keep two Researchers near you, offset, not stacked in the doorway you are aiming through.
Opening seconds are a clump. Hold the split. Do not follow the first player who sprints away. The Cow uses that noise.
When to shoot
Shoot if you see the upright cow, a knife in someone's mouth or hand, a throw, or a slash on a player you can see.
Do not shoot because someone ran, because chat said a name, or because they avoided you. Researchers panic-sprint, and the real Cow also avoids your gun range, so avoidance alone is not a shot.
| What you see | Action |
|---|---|
| Avatar becomes a cow with a blade | Shoot |
| Player stalks someone into a one-door room | Move up, but wait for the transform |
| Player picks up Cash inside the group | Leave them |
| Player stands over the dropped gun without taking it | Hold an angle. That is a Cow habit |
If you miss or you are late, do not chase into a blind corner. Go back to the largest group of living Researchers.
After you die
Say the room. Researchers can take the gun. Until they do, the Cow is free. If you are the Researcher who grabs it, you inherit this page: one Cow shot wins, one Researcher shot kills you too.
VIP's 10 percent Cash and XP does not tighten your crosshair. Gun skins (Fish, Hot Dog, Unicorn, Pumpkin) do not either.
